A very unusual pair of decorative bookends circa 1930s depicting naked native indians complete with head-dress sitting cross-kneed holding a large bowl on a wooden plinth. One plinth is painted a gold colour and the other painted black. The bowl could be used for holding loose change, keys, paperclips etc. Approximately 7" high x 5.75" wide x 3.75" deep. They are quite heavy and appear to be made of a stoneware type of composition.
